UPDATE ON THE DUSKY WARBLER FROM 19TH OCTOBER

The dusky warbler trapped and ringed on the 19th October created some interesting discussion around whether the bird was a dusky, radde’s or even something else. A small feather which was dislodged in the processing of the bird was sent to Martin Collinson at the University of Aberdeen  and a DNA sample was obtained. The bird has been confirmed as a dusky warbler - Mick Townsend's original identification. I have included a further montage of images from the 19th October - right up there as one of the best birds ever at the reservoir.
